Lovecraft was influenced by Edgar Allan Poe and in his turn Lovecraft has had a massive effect on modern Gothic horror.
I had known for quite a while that Lovecraft's politics were radical-rightist through reading a collection of his letters to his friend and writer Robert E Howard, the creator of Conan the Barbarian. In fact Conan is the archetypal Aryan hero warrior - fighting off the Dark Hordes. Howard has Conan a Cimmerian.
The Cimmerians were an actual Indo-Aryan people who expanded out of the Caucusus region around 1300BC.
Back to Lovecraft. During my collecting time of many things Lovecraftian, I came across 'Lovecraft's Secret Book' which is a fictional account of Lovecraft supporting an American Fascist movement.
Lovecraft was a complex character, who at one point investigated Marxism but rejected it's materialism as he was drawn more and more to 1930's fascism.
Lovecraft was most certainly a confirmed anti-Democrat believing in a meritocracy. His early death at the age of 47 in 1937 cut short what may have became a more interesting field for present day White Nationalists to ponder on.
I found the video below on Youtube and it puts a few interesting points out abour Lovecraft's thinking - please put up with what I presume is some sort of Gothic metal soundtrack....
