Great election result for Swansea National Front

The National Front received a healthy by-election result in the war of Llansamlet. National Front candidate Claire Thomas received a very respectable 5.9% of the vote.

Labour - 1,368
Tory - 236
Liberal Democrat - 113
National Front - 108

Llansamlet is a 'hot' ward in Swansea as residents are dismayed at the Labour Party going pack on a pledge NOT to have a second "traveller" site in the area and this has resulted in a wave of anger from the local people.
