Hull NF Branch Support City Centre Remembrance Day Service

Hull NF Branch Support City Centre Remembrance Day Service

On the Sunday 10 November Hull National Front members supported the party’s well-attended march to the Cenotaph in London. The following morning we were also present at the official wreath-laying ceremony in Hull City Centre. A dozen members were present from Hull as well as three who had made the trip across from Lincoln.

Our members observed the silence and ex-Serviceman Dave Stevens laid a wreath on behalf of the branch. After the service concluded, NF members chatted to other participants and were asked if anyone from the National Front was available to be interviewed for BBC Radio Humberside. I spoke to reporter David Burns for five minutes and answered questions about why the party was represented at the service and general questions about our image and strategy. I confirmed for Radio Humberside listeners that the party was not a ‘race hate’ organisation and campaigned to achieve its goals by lawful activity, including contesting elections and holding demonstrations.

Following the ceremony, members reflected on the services they had attended over the weekend and discussed plans to step up activities in Lincoln and Grimsby.

Armistice Day brings together some of the best elements of the British people together to remember those who fell in many conflicts and as a part of the community, we will always give this solemn and dignified occasion our support.
