When I first joined the NF in 1967, I bought a book from the Party called "Racial Contours" by H.B Isherwood.
Isherwood was a racial anthropologist whose work are many other books and pamphlets on the issues surrounding the Races of our World.
Isherwood divides the 'human race' (if there is such a thing!), into five categories:-
Caucasoid, Mongoloid, Negroid, Australoid and Amerind.
His definition of Caucasoid seems to cover anybody with a White skin but in my opinion, bringing in to the Caucasoid race such diverse sub-races such as we see in Iraq, Iran and the Middle East is pushing the boundaries of the definition of 'Caucasoid'.
So too is the description of all the sub-races Isherwood lumps together under the tag of Mongoloid.
It is obvious to anyone that the Japanese are widely different for instance to the inhabitants of Southern India.
Pre-Columbian America, he covers with just one race - the Amerind (Red Indian to you and I who spit in the face of Political Correctness.)
Again I see very little similarity between a full blooded Sioux and a native of the Amazonian basin.
I think we need to realise that Isherwood's description is not satisfactory. (I would recommend reading his book though, it is still a 'tour de force' in Human Anthropolgy.
First published by The Britons Publishing Company (now gone), it still readily available through Amazon
I would like to state, and its just my opinion as a layman, but it takes in over 40 years of study into race and racial contours, is that the major races of the world need to be redefined.
I would group them thus - remembering of course that within these broad bands there are sub-races, such as the Hottentot and Bushman who though part of the Negroid race, show some similarities with the Australoid.
I would rename Caucasoid as Aryan and will set my thoughts below.
Aryan - a member of the White Race, spanning many areas of the World but originating in South East Europe (not in Kenya!!!)
Negroid - basically the Black Race, evolving in Africa, most probably from The Great Rift Valley of Kenya, and now spread out from Africa into many White areas of the World.
Amerind - the so-called 'Native Americans' who may have evolved out of the Mongoloid Race but have generally their own physical features. (When I say 'supposed' I would direct you to read what you can about "Kennewick Man"), and of course the Innuit.
Australoid - the native peoples of Australia and Tasmania but NOT of New Zealand.
Mongoloid - the race that inhabitants of the vast area East of the Ural mountains and North of the Himalayan mountain range and stretching as far as Japan.
Asian - The peoples that originally dwelt uniquely South of the Himalayan range and West of Africa. I can see no similarity between a Pakistani for instance and a man or woman from China.
Amazonian - the native peoples of South America especially in the Amazon basin and down to Terra del Fuego. There has been much admixture with the Amazonians and the peoples of Central America, who may have once been Amerind but now from Panama to and including Mexico, and are now of Amazonian blood in the main.
Pacificoid - those peoples inhabiting the many island of the Pacific down to and including New Zealand and some of the islands of South-East Asia.
Now I know I have added three more major racial groupings to Isherwood's five, but the anthropological evidence and the evidence of our own eyes demand that.
