Note from Nationalist Sentinel - whilst we do not support everything below, we feel there is
enough facts and figures to keep White Nationalists ahead of what is happening....
Dear Friends and Supporters,
There is fear in the corridors of power. Since the Maastricht Treaty (formally, the Treaty on European Union) was signed in 1992, the Great British Public have watched with continuing anger as our national sovereignty has withered away. The Establishment has utterly ignored the growing frustration of the public, and voices calling for democracy have grown louder. Finally it seems Whitehall has listened.
This is why the Bill for a purported In/Out Referendum has passed through the House of Commons unchallenged, and is now on its way to the House of Lords, where it will face more hostile scrutiny and delay. The ruling parties know they are on the losing side of public opinion and may soon find themselves on the losing side of history. Yet we must beware and not be complacent. The Bill conveniently delays the referendum until 2017, meaning the incumbent government is under no pressure to hold a referendum immediately (with lots of wriggle room if they come to power). While if Labour gets in they could still repeal the Bill and snatch away our chance of leaving the EU.
Get Britain Out had urged the political class to seriously consider the merits of an early referendum with my piece on Trending Central. At the time, Adam Afriyie MP had tabled an amendment to the Bill to call for the referendum to be held next year, but it failed to sway the Commons and only received 17 votes in favour. It seems a lot is vested in keeping an In/Out referendum just out of our reach.
On the other hand, we know the Establishment is on the back-foot and scrambling to appease public opinion. The government has recently tried to tighten up our borders and limit the welfare entitlements of future EU migrants. Doing it only five weeks before the transitional controls are lifted on 1st January is rather late in the day, and it doesn’t go anywhere near far enough. It is like applying a plaster to a severed limb. It definitely stirred the hornet’s nest inside the European Commission (EC), with one of their number having the audacity to call Britain a ‘nasty country’ - László Andor of Hungary is better off looking in the mirror.
These are the unaccountable nobodies who govern us without winning a single election. With their total disregard for national sovereignty and contempt for democracy, they sneer at us for wanting a right that is enjoyed by nearly every other country on the planet: control of our own borders.
To add insult to injury, the EC are investigati ng
Britain’s nuclear programme at Hinkley Point for breach of EU
state-aid. This is a move that could lead to long delays and even cause
the complex deal to unravel. The EU competition police are examining a
string of subsidies tied to the Government’s £16bn agreement with French
groups EDF and Areva as well as China’s General Nuclear Power to build
two new generation EPR reactors. These would be the first reactors to
be built in Britain since 1995, providing 7% of the our electricity. The
power station is an investment in our future and our country would
benefit from the project.
By getting in the way of the pursuit of our national interests, the EC makes no effort to hide the contempt they have for us. It is clear that our unelected rulers in Brussels have not lost the appetite to bully and pester Britain into submission, and their desperation has increased.
Meanwhile, there is cause for cheer. The tide is turning against ‘ever closer union’ and after decades of complacent surrender, Westminster is becoming cornered by public anger. Get Britain Out will press the agenda that we are better off out of the EU in the run-up to the elections to the European Parliament taking place in May. Next year will be our chance to send a clear message to the EU that Britain (and even Europe) has no faith in its corrupt institutions. We will strive to raise the awareness of the Great British Public and inform them in advance of the elections.
Our hope is that the electorate vote for the most hostile and Eurosceptic intake of British MEPs the European Parliament has ever seen, and 2014 will be the year that marks the beginning of the end of Britain’s vassalage to Brussels. By working together and by spreading our message, we can help make that happen and Get Britain Out of the EU as soon as possible.
